July 24, 2009, Croke Park, Dublin.
Alan -driving, Dj Scott, and moi, travel from Belfast that Friday afternoon around 11am. After a short brunch, we hit the road. Brought Alan's new satnav with us and enjoy listening to the voice but quite annoying sometimes,lol. We spotted an accident ahead just a mile from us so Alan decided to take a different route via the satnav's.Of course the direction was perfect, 100 yards ahead turn left, recalculating, straight ahead, make a right turn (getting annoyed with the voice over this time,lol). All of a sudden, the change route should only take us 20 mins to get to the motorway but instead we spent over 40mins of scenic route, lol. Mind you, it was very long short cut,lol. Expected time of arrival was 14:30pm and its almost 13:30 we are still looking for the way out to the motorway, sigh.Anyways, Alan was cool and Scott at the back i think was snoring,lol and me just watching the road as it's too narrow and no line in the middle.Not one blink of an eye made. Eventually, we got to the motorway and drive smoothly towards Dublin. All is well til we arrived Dublin as the satnav made a flipping recalculation and took us on the wrong route. Recalculation my a***!!, LOL. Alan this time is still cool but can see a little sign of stress (right dude?). Not a single word came out in my mouth and Scotts for 2mins as the tension rises.There's the hotel!!!! Dj Scott and I shouted,lol.It was after 3 U turns.Bad hotel direction and satnav's crap,lol.Got into the hotel 2 hours before the concert and straight to food ( sandwich tho ).Sober when we arrived but almost legless came out on the way to the concert.I'm sure the hotel staff wondered why,lol.
I have always wanted to watch U2 in concert and thanks to Alan dude for inviting me to watch them live.It was the best concert I have ever been to ( been only a couple,lol)Loving the songs they played. They are legend!!! The crowds went wild and crazy.2 hours of beautiful and great music, FANTASTIC!!! Will watch it again (ticket please dude).
